The Museum Under the Bleachers
A loose bleacher plank drops an old grocery-store sign at eleven-year-old Darius Morales's feet. When he follows it beneath his Cleveland soccer stadium, he finds a sealed room full of maps, church programs, tools, and objects from Riverview, the neighborhood that stood there before the stadium did.
Demolition begins in days. With his fearless teammate Talia and a museum volunteer who remembers Riverview firsthand, Darius races to connect the objects to the people who lost them. But the deeper he digs, the more he discovers about his own grandfather's link to the hidden room and the silence that kept it hidden. Each new clue turns a secret adventure into a responsibility Darius cannot carry alone.
The Museum Under the Bleachers is a warm, fast-moving story of friendship, family truth, and the courage to make a place for memories before they disappear. As the final match approaches, Darius must decide whether protecting the people he loves means speaking up or staying quiet.

The Ball That Would Not Come Back
Darius liked the practice field best after everyone else got tired. That was when the stadium stopped yelling at itself.
At the beginning of practice, cleats scraped, Coach Rivera's whistle cut through the heat, and Talia called for every pass as if the ball had hurt her feelings. By the end, a Lake Erie cloud bank had turned the Cleveland sky white at the edges. The metal seats threw long striped shadows across the grass.
"Last round," Coach Rivera said. "Two touches. Then we pack it up."
