A Clean Getaway
When Mara Bell finds her mother's name inside a church ledger displayed in a Baltimore museum, she knows the book was never a donor's collectible. It is proof that the records of St. Brigid's, the waterfront neighborhood the city cleared away, were taken and kept by a powerful collector.
Mara cleans Harbor Museum at night. She knows its freight elevators, camera habits, loading docks, and the ways staff become invisible in rooms built for donors. With a disgraced caterer, a sharp young locksmith, and the collector's estranged daughter, she has days to reclaim more than one ledger before a gala auction sends the archive into private hands or a disposal truck erases it for good.
A Clean Getaway is a brisk Baltimore heist with dry humor, hard choices, and restitution stakes. To get the records home, Mara must turn the gala itself into evidence and make the people who own the room watch.

Dust Is a Record
At 1:43 in the morning, Harbor Museum had stopped pretending it belonged to the public.
Daytime made room for school buses, donors, and volunteers with bright lanyards. At night, it belonged to loading-dock alarms, humming climate vents, and people with keys that opened closets but not offices. Mara Bell moved through it with a gray cart, a mop bucket, and a badge that gave her entry to everywhere useful and nowhere important.
She was wiping champagne freckles from the plinth glass in the Sloane Gallery when she found the ledger.
